Welcome to the Programmable Digital Electronics and Systems Lab!

Prodigieslab Consulting offers services on Analog, Digital and Mixed-signal electronics circuits design, simulation, prototype production, tests and characterization. Our expertise on Electrical Engineering allow us to approach the R&D using FPGAs, Microcontrollers or ASICs.

Prodigieslab Research interests include Readout Integrated Circuits (ROIC) design for multispectral image acquisition aiming for unmanned vehicles, hardware-based processing, image enhancement, features extraction, and target identification. A special focus is placed on spatio-temporal bio-stimulation in healthcare applications and mixed-signal ASIC design for high-performance, low power and reliability.

Prodigieslab Educational branch was created by Dr. Glauco Fiorante in August 2013 within the Campus Salto as an effort to the technology development in Brazil and to stimulate young students in STEM career. Prodigieslab educational is comprised of faculty and students from the Industrial Department and the Department of Computing of the Federal Institute of Technology of Sao Paulo.

Prodigieslab educational has two main synergic branches: research and teaching.

  • It intends to research on testing and characterization of VLSI integrated circuits by means of programmable digital tools, exploiting FPGA development kits as hardware and VHDL programming language as software.

  • It collaborates with the improvement of teaching in digital electronics, especially introducing the programmable logic on Digital Electronics Courses, advancing in more than 20 years the methodology and technology used so far at the IFSP.

We are part of the Industrial and Environmental Studies Group (GEIA), a nationally recognized Research Group by the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq).
